The Guidi 1283 PN16 Bronze Strainer features a vertical 90 degree flow design intake from below and to the side giving improved performance. The patented shape of the strainer reduces pressure drop and the creation of air bubbles through cavitation. Includes stainless steel filter basket. . It features a bronze lid with bolts to close it down. Strainers are installed to filter inlet water from impurities and bring clean water to heat exchangers, generators, and air conditioning systems. For nautical uses it is generally installed in the engine room.
